8 whole big months old!!!

Where do I begin Lou Lou.......you are one crazy ass little gal who entertains us daily!!!!  Just like last month this month has flown by way too fast.  It seems like I just wrote your 7th month post and here I am writing the 8th month.....SLOW DOWN.  Time obviously does not listen to your mother.....I should just get used to not being listened to!!!!
It's amazing at this age to watch you develop and do it soooo quickly.  We are definitely seeing your personality start to shine through.  Most days you are a fricken riot and then there are those days where you are completely bipolar and a total ass hole.  I'm not going to sugar coat things and pretend that we have the most well behaved, angelic, happy little lady.  There are times when you make mommy want to rip ALL her hair out!!

This here picture above is your new smile!  It's fricken hilarious.....you see the red light on the camera and we tell you to smile and this is what happens.  I LOVE IT!!!!

* You have mastered the army crawl and don't stop moving!!!  You are moments away from totally crawling....you just haven't quite figured out the whole moving of the knees and the hands in the right order!  You are also trying to pull yourself up onto things now.  You are EVERYWHERE!!

* You are starting to figure out how to feed yourself. You are getting pretty good at getting your puffs in your mouth by yourself and you do a pretty good job at holding your own bottle.

* You are obsessed with the water.  You love bath time and you love the pool.  If we would let you, you would sit and splash until you were blue around the mouth!  We took you to Antie Becky's and Uncle Jake's pool last weekend and you played and played and played for hours!! 

* You sorta give kisses.....big wide ass open mouth drool filled wet slobbery kisses.  It doesn't happen very often....and it has to be on your terms!

* You've started having a little bit of separation anxiety.  And when I say a little I mean sometimes we can't even walk away to pee and you'd think someone ripped your arm off!  Yet when we drop you off at Stacy's you are totally fine!  I can't blame ya though....I would totally want to be around your dad and I too!!!  We are pretty f'ing cool!!!!

* You are starting to mimic us....we can make sounds or noises and you copy them back to us.  You have a crazy fake laugh that makes us laugh which in turn makes you laugh again!!  We are just funny I guess!

* You get ridiculously excited to see Carter and Elle.  The second they are in your eye site you completely freak out and if we don't let you near them immediately you get pissed!!!

* You have ZERO patience.....I'll just leave it at that!

* You hate having your face wiped or touched or anything.....I'm pretty sure that one of these days you are going to sock me right in the jaw!!  I know I probably deserve it but I can't stand crusty face or nose!

* You LOVE outside and have a thing for balls...footballs, baseballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, you name a ball....you love it!!!

* This last month you have turned into a little bit of a mama's girl.  Which is completely fine with me....because I know it probably won't last very long! 

* Your favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear.  Not sure how much more Brown Bear mommy can read before I chuck that shit out the window!

* You still look exactly like your dad!  Me....not so much!

Happy 8 months baby girl!!!  Looking forward to the next one!!! 

The NEW smile!!!!

Mia's new thing as of this last week is her new smile!!!!  This girl is a fricken hoot!  I have no idea where the hell she got this from but she just started doing it and it might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen.  Thats why I obviously have to share it with all of you!!!

The 7th Month

Today, my beautiful little girl, you are 7 months old!  I seriously have no idea where the last 7 months have gone.  The time truly has flown by.  Your dad and I were just talking tonight about when you were first born and how tiny you were and how your little self would fit so snuggly on our chests.  Now, when you decide that you actually WANT to snuggle your long little legs hang off of us and you completely cover us! 

Things you have accomplished and amazed us with this last month:

* You have become so much more verbal...the coos and oohs and ahhs are more frequent.  As is the YELLING!  And when I say yelling... I mean uncontrolable, baby velocirapotor kind of yelling!!  Apparently you think this will get our attention....IT DOES!!!  We really can't help but laugh...but reallly, what the hell are you doing???  The sheer volume of noise that is coming out of your mouth is incredible....there is a possibility that you will loose your voice....we'll see how that works for ya!
* You CAN NOT sit still!!!  You stiffen your body and fling yourself about if you are unhappy with your current situation.  You've managed to escape you bumbo by doing just that....you stiffen your body and roll your little self right out.....let me tell ya Houdini....stop doing that!!!  It freaks mommy out!  You're also able to pretty much sit all by yourself.  Except for a few spills and screaming fits, you do really well!
* You love to stand....this goes along with the not sitting still thing.  You are nosey and need to know whats going on with everyone and everything.  You aren't holding yourself up yet but you are bouncing and moving those little legs all over the place with our assistance.

* You roll EVERYWHERE.  We really can't leave you by yourself anywhere (not that we LEFT you before but we always have to have an eye on ya), you are a busy bee who is a moving and a groving!!  I give ya another couple of weeks and then God help us all because there is a possibility that you will be crawling! You are already into everything so I can hardly wait to see the shit that you get into then!
* You are starting to eat solids way more!  You seemed to be pretty picky at first but you have definitely gotten better.  You LOVE puffs!!!  And it's so cute because you put them in the side of your mouth like you are actually chewing them.  Way too cute if ya ask me!
* You have TWO toofers!!  Yes, TWO!!!  Along with these two teeth is double the drool and double the Diva.  You are pretty well soaked in drool everyday as is mommy and daddy.  We don't really care though....sometimes I care a little when the drool runs into my mouth...but then I get over it cuz...well...what the hell...it's just drool I guess!  The Divaness has increased but thats to be expected because you ARE my child!  I have no one to blame but my parents myself!
* Your favorite toys are mommy's phone, the remotes, the computer and pretty much anything else that someone else has....and if we don't give it to you...well then....you SCREAM!!!  Remember the whole baby velociraptor thing...yeah...thats it!!!

* You and your two little besties (Carter and Belle) play so good with each other...sort of!!!  You are all learning to share...you guys always want what the other has and then when you do get it you want the other thing...and it's just a vicious cycle but it's so much fun to watch the three of you together...screaming and yelling and crying in each others faces!!  I can't wait to see you guys grow together!
* You started swimming lessons this last month and totally love the water.  I'm so glad that we started it with ya....I want you to be used to the water.
* You have the BEST laugh.  Your dad can get you going so easily....it's probably the best noise in the whole world.  You love when we make up songs and sound like a bunch of ass holes or dance around like a bunch of ass holes....pretty much anything that we do to make us look like ass holes....you like!!!
* For a while you had totally gotten away from the whole snuggling thing but lately you let me snuggle with ya....I LOVE it!!!  I'm so glad that you've given that back to mommy and daddy!!

* We were finally able to go for your first walk outside...I know.. sad... but the weather finally just started getting nice enough!  You LOVE outside! 
* You love seeing yourself in the mirror or pictures of yourself.  It makes you laugh...which makes me laugh!  I don't blame ya...I love seeing pictures of you too!!!

I know I say this every month but you continue to amaze us and you continue to melt my heart every single day!!  You are the best thing that I've ever done and can't wait to see what this next month brings us....hopefully more cute and less Diva!!!

6 Big Whole Months

Today Mees,  it is the big 6 month mark!!!  I seriously can't believe that half of the first year of your life is over....where the hell did the time go.  It seems like so long ago that we brought you home from the hospital yet it seems like just yesterday!  Weird how that works. 

This last month has been VERY interesting!!!  You are STILL a diva and I'm pretty sure the whole divaness isn't going anywhere.  You DEFINITELY know how to work mom and dad!!  You are the sweetest little thing when we are around other people and then we get home and the OTHER Mia comes out!  Your crabby time is definitely at night and you let us know!!  It's sort of hard not to know, with all the yelling and whatnot that comes out of your beautiful little mouth!  I do understand that it's hard NOT to be an ass hole when I'm pretty sure that I was/am.....I have no one to blame but myself for that.  It does make you you though and I love it!!
You are starting to sit up on your own.....you still have some weeble wobble in you but you are getting so much better at it.  Although you still find it necessary to stiffen your entire body at random times and fling yourself about! 

You are eating fruits and veggies now.  Your favorite is applesauce and aren't much of a fan of carrots ( I don't blame you though....that shit smells nasty)! 
Carter and Belle gave you their walker and you LOVE that thing.  You love being mobile and seeing whats going on. 
You roll EVERYWHERE!!!  You will start on one side of the room and then we find you wedged by the couch.  Along with this, you want to sit up soooo badly on your own that I'm pretty sure you are going to have abs of steal in no time.
You haven't cut any teeth yet but it could be any day.  The drooling has doubled which means a whole shit load of it and your diva moods have increased!  I wish one of those things would just pop through! 
Your personality is really starting to show.  For the most part you are a happy baby and love to smile.  Dad and I know where your tickle spots are and your laugh is amazingly wonderful! 
You held your first sippy cup this month....I don't think you drank out of it but you looked so cute with it in your hands....such a big girl!

The interaction between you and the fam is getting so much more animated.  You are starting to play with Carter and Ella and they LOVE it.  I think it's different for them too because you aren't this tiny little baby anymore. 

We've finally gotten you on some sort of schedule.  It doesn't ALWAYS work out but it's a work in progress. 
You are still getting up in the middle of the night but go right back to sleep after we've fed you and now instead  of crying in the mornings we are awoken by you talking to yourself in your crib.  It's the most wonderful way to get woken up!!!
I know there are about a thousand other things that you've done or accomplished this last month but the time goes by sooo fast and it's so hard to keep track!  You are becoming such a little person and I love it.  Happy 6 months Lou Lou!!
