Mommy and Me Monday

I've been completely slacking on my Mommy and Me photos.  Actually I've really sucked but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. 
My handful of a monster lately is way to busy to be taking any pictures.  She'll take pictures if it's just her but the second that I try to make her sit with me.....yeah....not so much! 
This is the result of making her sit with me!!!

 "Seriously mom.....get that shit out of my face, I've had just about enough of you and that damn camera!"

 "Fine, whatever....I'll try to act like I sort of want to take this picture.  But you are still irritating the hell out of me."

Mommy and Me Monday

So it has been disgustingly hot and humid here the last week or so, so we haven't done a whole lot outside since you are instantly suffocated when walking out the door. 
Saturday we were at Deb's for Joey's surprise Golden Birthday Party and it was still fricken hotter than hell but we were under the canopy thingy on the patio so it at least blocked the sun!!! 
Here's a nasty sweaty picture of Me and Miss Mia....she's obviously not nasty and sweaty but mama sure is.  But that's ok....we've gotta take the good with the fugly....right???  And these pics are not nearly as bad as the mullet ones that I promise I will post.....why not embarrass myself....who cares right???

I've pretty much been sucking in the photo taking department lately....only a few photos a day....I know, I know, how dare I not blind my child every chance I get!!!

These mommy and me photos are of us just hanging like we usually do!!!

Mees looks like she wants absolutely nothing to do with this whole situation and I look like I may have gotten caught in a fricken wind storm.....seriously...what's up with my hair??? I kinda look like the crazy lady with the baby!!

Mommy and Me Monday!

We've had a very busy weekend hanging with the fam and enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather.  I got some much needed Vitamin D and spent some time in the water with the hubs and the munchkin!!!

The reason this picture is just of Mees is because the ones with Justin and I in it are NOT good.....his head looks ginormous and I look like a wet dog with a bad hair do!!

We've been running and running all weekend and so we are totally relaxing right now.  Mees has been such a trooper all weekend....totally fighting her naps but still hanging with a smile....for the most part!!! 
We were doing our usual bedtime routine of bottle and reading books and the next thing I knew......

As you can see.....we were beat!!! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!! Oh and P.S. I'm a total bad ass again.....I'm Laura, The Purse Blogger's fave lady of the week this week!!!!  Definitely check out her blog....I love her!!!

Mommy and Me Monday

Justin was out of town this weekend so it was just me and Miss Mia!!  

It was Ella's first birthday party on Saturday out at my mom and dad's so we spent the day out there with the whole fam and hung out and drank!!  You know....what everyone does at first birthdays....drink!!!  I'll show you all some photos later this week of Miss Ella on her birthday and the most fabulous present that her Fairy Godmother got for her!! 

But for now.....here is Me and Mees enjoying the beautiful afternoon out at the house!!

Mommy and Me Monday....Special Edition

This weeks Mommy and Me Monday is a little different and bittersweat for me.  I have a fabulous photo of Mees and I from this week playing in the living room.  She is just way too cute not to put pics up of her AT ALL TIMES!!!

On top of MY mommy and me photos, I'm going to add one more. This weekend has been...well....pretty shitty.  Maryah passed away on Saturday morning after a long hard battle with cancer (that nasty ass C word). My heart aches for her and for HER mom. There really are NO words.  What do you say to someone who has lost a child? There are no words of comfort and there is no way that anyone could even  begin to imagine what that must feel like unless you have been in that situation.
We know that she is finally at peace and in the arms of the Lord but nontheless it SUCKS!!  So for Rach and Ry I'm adding a Mommy and Me photo for the two of you. Rachel, I know that your heart is broken and will never be whole again but know that she is still with you ALL the time! I feel honored that you shared your beautiful daughter with the world....she has definitely left her footprint on my heart.  I miss her and will never forget.

I'm reminding you all again.....get as many mommy and me photos that you can.....you never know when it may be your last.  Hug and kiss your babies as much as you can.....you never know when it will be your last.   Tell them you love them and try your hardest not to take ANYTHING for granted.

Mommy and Me Monday

This last Saturday we had Mia baptised/dedicated.  We had the ceremony outside at my mom and dad's house.  It wasn't the greatest weather but nonetheless it was a beautiful day spent with the people closest to us.  My mommy and me picture this week also has daddy in it....I ok'd it just for this week....only because Mees looks so fricken cute and so Little House on the Prairieish.  I let Justin know though, that this was a one time thing only.  So don't get used to it!

Her baptismal gown was mine when I was baptised.  Pretty fricken cool if ya ask me!  Not cool that it's almost 30 years old but whatev!  Oh and she wasn't all that excited about the pics at this point....we were having a Diva/Ass hole moment!  She is just so damn cute though that I let it slide....aren't I nice??!!!

Mommy and Me Monday

Ok....so I bought this Hugamonkey sling thing-a-majig thinking that of course I need this...why wouldn't I need this....Mia for sure needs to be carried around in this.....this is a great idea for us!!!  Ok...so I might have been wrong.  I'm pretty sure Mia would have a fuckin cow if I tried to keep her in this thing for more than a few pictures....and thats what we did tonight a few pics and threw that thingy back in the closet!!!
P.S.  I look like a total ASS HAT and probably shouldn't attempt a sling thing-a-majig anytime soon!!!  Mia DID think it was kinda funny though!! 

I told ya....ASS HAT!!!

Mommy and Me Monday

For the last couple of months, Mees doesn't care to snuggle with her mama so much anymore.  This makes mama REAL sad because mama LOVES to snuggle!  Well, miraculously, Mees has been snuggling a little more lately.  It's probably just a stage but Mama is goin with it!!!  This is how we roll!!!!

I love doing Mommy and Me Monday!!!  For one... I love pictures of my babe, for two....I love pictures of me and my babe and for three.....I love being in pictures (lets face it...it's just more fun to look at when you're in them!!)

We are totally working our asses off.....you know...with all the blogging and online shopping!!!

It's so nice that she helps me!!!!

And yes...I promise that I will post sometime soon about our wedding night debacle and why Justin and I were not welcome in our honeymoon suite. It's a great story and I promise we are not white trash (it may have seemed that way for an hour or so but I promise...I have pictures to prove it!!)

Mommy and Me Monday

Mees started swimming lessons this last Saturday....Justin and I were totally pumped about this.  She did SO GREAT!!!   I feel like she is such a big girl now in her swim lessons.  Pretty soon there is going to be car pools and dance lessons and holy shit we are never going to have a free moment.  Honestly though.....I can't wait! 
These pictures that I'm posting for this weeks Mommy and Me photos are not my most favorite (I DO NOT have pictures of me with a swim suit on....but it was Mees first swim lesson ever so I made an exception). Please if you would....just focus on the little one!!!

Mommy and Me Monday....Family Easter Edition

We had a fantastic Easter Sunday!!!  The weather was absolutely perfect and I ate WAY too much food!!!  So much for the whole healthy living/eating thing....today is Monday though so I'll REALLY start today!

It's a little hard to pick my photos today because I'm PRETTY sure I took about 90 of them yesterday within a 2 hour period of time.  What can I say.....I'm a FREAK and I LOVE pictures!!  ( I still really need to figure out my camera though....thats whole other story in itself).
