Mommy and Me Monday

This last Saturday we had Mia baptised/dedicated.  We had the ceremony outside at my mom and dad's house.  It wasn't the greatest weather but nonetheless it was a beautiful day spent with the people closest to us.  My mommy and me picture this week also has daddy in it....I ok'd it just for this week....only because Mees looks so fricken cute and so Little House on the Prairieish.  I let Justin know though, that this was a one time thing only.  So don't get used to it!
Her baptismal gown was mine when I was baptised.  Pretty fricken cool if ya ask me!  Not cool that it's almost 30 years old but whatev!  Oh and she wasn't all that excited about the pics at this point....we were having a Diva/Ass hole moment!  She is just so damn cute though that I let it slide....aren't I nice??!!!

  2. That is so cute! I love that she's wearing your old gown. I'm cracking up that you said whatev too. I say that all the time, haha!!! Even though your hubby is totally invading your Mommy and Me picture, it still makes for a pretty cute family pic! Definitely a keeper!

Cute new blog look too, love the big pics!

  6. Super cute! What a beautiful family! That's SWEET, that you could pass on your christening outfit. Mine, well, my Momma had 6 kids so who am I kidding..she has no effing idea where mine is. SO, I had to buy both my girls their own christening gown ( so they had something to pass down with no fighting over it:) Gabs' was very much like the one your little girl is wearing... I'd say you saved yourself around $150 large:) I say Momma deserves a new bag or shoes or something:) Happy late MOther's Day!

  7. Awwww..she's a doll..even when she's ticked off. That first one is a great family picture. And, you know, Justin can join in, too, but you can tell him I said otherwise if you want!

Happy Mother's Day. What a great way to spend the weekend, baptizing your girl.

My grandma got my girls gowns made in Ireland and had then embroidered with their names so they can pass it along to their kids and then they can enbroider their names too! I thoght that was a cute idea. My mom doesnt have ANYTHING from when I was young. What a bastard!

  11. What a fantastic picture Nikki! My daughter wore my baptismal gown as well. My grandmother had given the gown to my parents for me when I was a baby, and we named my daughter after my grandmother. It was so special and sentimental that my daughter was able to wear that gown. Congratulations to you and your family on this blessed occasion!
