Bracelets, STP and damn colds

I don't think I've shared yet that I had a wonderful birthday and my husband definitely did not disappoint this year.  I only say that because he's not really known for his planning or creativity....lets just say a cd case and a card with a little kid picking her nose with a saying something like "this reminds me of you" was not gonna make me want to get in his pants.
But this year....I received a beautiful Pandora bracelet.  I was eyeing these things at Jared and have been not so subtlely dropping hints that I would LOVE one of these.
The blue murano glass is Justin's birthstone color, then there is a little purse because...well....yall know I love me my purses, the pink murano glass is Mia's birthstone color, then there is a butterfly that represents Miss Maryah, and then the green murano glass is my birthstone color.
Then....yes there is a then....the following night we had dinner at my parents and I received another gift from my fabulous husband.  He got us tickets to go see Stone Temple Pilots.  LOVE THEM!!!  I do think though that it was more of a gift for him but whatev....I was still pumped!
So last Friday was the concert....we went out for cocktails and appetizers before and had a whole adult evening with very little "baby talk".

Now... I'm not used to "heavy" bands and the two opening bands were just that.  A little much for me.  I'm used to jam bands and rugs and shit on the stage and joints being passed around.  Not some crazy asshats flailing their bodies around on stage.
But then STP came out and it was FABULOUS!!!  Lets just say Scott Weiland in a grey suit with black shirt and red tie and some seriously dark sunglassess = SO SEXY.  There is just something about a man who can play the piano, play the guitar or a man who can sing that really does it for me!  (Lucky me...my husband is an amazing piano player....too bad we don't have a piano.....he'd be one lucky fella if we did!!!).

So yeah....we had a great night.  Good drinks and food, fabulous concert and a wonderful date night with the hubby.
Glad we got that in on Friday because as of Saturday I caught Mia's cold and have felt like shit for the last 3 days.  Oh yeah...she ended up with an ear infection last week....nice huh??  If it's not one thing it's the other.

  1. I really like STP, too. Have never seen them live, though. Last band I saw live was Blue October and they were sooooo good (but they are always amazing live.) They year before that they had Shiny Toy Guns open up for them, which was weird for my hubby and I (we're on our 40's) -- this band looked like teenagers, and the whole floor of the place turned into a giant mosh pit! LOL

I'm sorry you're sick. Colds are the worst. I hope you feel better soon.

  4. Wow! I feel like such a tool that I didn't know what STP stood for until I got further into the post, but I LOVE them! Your hubs definitely hooked you up!

That bracelet is beautiful. I am just learning about Pandora bracelets and I'm thinking I might have to start dropping some subtle hints of my own with Christmas in a few months and all that.

I'm so glad you had a wonderful birthday!
