Mommy and Me Monday

Mees started swimming lessons this last Saturday....Justin and I were totally pumped about this.  She did SO GREAT!!!   I feel like she is such a big girl now in her swim lessons.  Pretty soon there is going to be car pools and dance lessons and holy shit we are never going to have a free moment.  Honestly though.....I can't wait! 
These pictures that I'm posting for this weeks Mommy and Me photos are not my most favorite (I DO NOT have pictures of me with a swim suit on....but it was Mees first swim lesson ever so I made an exception). Please if you would....just focus on the little one!!!

Weekend Recap

The weather this weekend was absolutely beautiful.  We all spent the weekend out at mom and dad's so we could enjoy the weather and the yard.  Turns out that as of today, I'm pretty sure that I got everyone sick.  Not cool.....I was feeling so much better and didn't think much of it so we went ahead and went out to the house and as of right now all but two of us are sick!!!  This shit sucks!!!  And I feel like an ass hole!!!

Before everyone started feeling all poopy and whatnot I was able to get some pretty good pics with the new lense that I got last week for my camera.  So I will share some photos instead of all the ailments of my entire family!  No need to gross anyone out!!

Just one of those days!

So....it's Friday....I'm home sick from work (some nasty bug going around) so Justin brought Mia into daycare this morning.  I had to pick her up about 45 minutes later due to the fact that she threw up all over herself.  Now we are just hanging at home....miserable!  Nice fricken Friday huh???  NO NOT REALLY!!!

6 Big Whole Months

Today Mees,  it is the big 6 month mark!!!  I seriously can't believe that half of the first year of your life is over....where the hell did the time go.  It seems like so long ago that we brought you home from the hospital yet it seems like just yesterday!  Weird how that works. 

This last month has been VERY interesting!!!  You are STILL a diva and I'm pretty sure the whole divaness isn't going anywhere.  You DEFINITELY know how to work mom and dad!!  You are the sweetest little thing when we are around other people and then we get home and the OTHER Mia comes out!  Your crabby time is definitely at night and you let us know!!  It's sort of hard not to know, with all the yelling and whatnot that comes out of your beautiful little mouth!  I do understand that it's hard NOT to be an ass hole when I'm pretty sure that I was/am.....I have no one to blame but myself for that.  It does make you you though and I love it!!
You are starting to sit up on your own.....you still have some weeble wobble in you but you are getting so much better at it.  Although you still find it necessary to stiffen your entire body at random times and fling yourself about! 

You are eating fruits and veggies now.  Your favorite is applesauce and aren't much of a fan of carrots ( I don't blame you though....that shit smells nasty)! 
Carter and Belle gave you their walker and you LOVE that thing.  You love being mobile and seeing whats going on. 
You roll EVERYWHERE!!!  You will start on one side of the room and then we find you wedged by the couch.  Along with this, you want to sit up soooo badly on your own that I'm pretty sure you are going to have abs of steal in no time.
You haven't cut any teeth yet but it could be any day.  The drooling has doubled which means a whole shit load of it and your diva moods have increased!  I wish one of those things would just pop through! 
Your personality is really starting to show.  For the most part you are a happy baby and love to smile.  Dad and I know where your tickle spots are and your laugh is amazingly wonderful! 
You held your first sippy cup this month....I don't think you drank out of it but you looked so cute with it in your hands....such a big girl!

The interaction between you and the fam is getting so much more animated.  You are starting to play with Carter and Ella and they LOVE it.  I think it's different for them too because you aren't this tiny little baby anymore. 

We've finally gotten you on some sort of schedule.  It doesn't ALWAYS work out but it's a work in progress. 
You are still getting up in the middle of the night but go right back to sleep after we've fed you and now instead  of crying in the mornings we are awoken by you talking to yourself in your crib.  It's the most wonderful way to get woken up!!!
I know there are about a thousand other things that you've done or accomplished this last month but the time goes by sooo fast and it's so hard to keep track!  You are becoming such a little person and I love it.  Happy 6 months Lou Lou!!

Really Right Now.....

I'll start this by saying that sometimes.....Nikki.....is not so smart!  Yes I said it....you will not hear those words escape my mouth all too often because, well, I usually am SMART!!  I'm pretty sure that Justin is basking in the light of this comment from his USUALLY smart wife! 
I will recap the reason of the above comment:
Mia's little tush has been a little red lately so I decided to leave her diaper off for a little bit because we were going to be giving her a bath in a few anyway.  I mean, if she peed on the floor then she peed on the floor, I have had to deal with worse so whatever!  So....I was putting something away in the bedroom and came back out into the living where little Mees had rolled herself over to the hall table and had her legs wrapped around the leg of it (bare ass).  I look down and there I see it......she SHIT all over!  I was worried about pee....stupid Nikki.....why worry about pee when I know that Mees has a history of shooting shit out her ass with rapid force. 
Ok....so we got the poop cleaned up off the floor (I cleaned the poop and Justin grabbed Mees) and brought her into our room to get her ready for her bath.  I was in HER bedroom getting things and came back into our bedroom where there was another shitty surprise waiting for me on MY bed!  Yep....you guessed it.....she SHIT on OUR bed!!  Are you f'ing kidding me right now??  Ok.....so we get the poop cleaned and Justin ran in her room to get a changing pad (smart guy) to lay under her while we try to get things cleaned and get things ready for her bath (how many dumb ass parents does it take to clean up some poop and give a bath??  Apparently more than 2).  While this is all going on....the cleaning and the getting ready......she f'ing SHIT again.  REALLY RIGHT NOW!  It was at least on the pad......and let me just tell you that she thought all of this was fricken hilarious.....you can go ahead and picture the smiling, blowing bubbles and kicking her legs about (in the SHIT)! 
Mees finally stopped pooping all over the place and we were able to give her a bath without any accidents in the tub.....which WOULD have been better than the bed but seriously, what fun is there in that??  So....I should have learned my lesson but I didn't!!!  At least poop stories are funny....everyone has them!  Hopefully this is the last one for me.....at least this week!!!

Side Note:  This all happened last night.....well this morning she decided to PEE all over mommy and daddy's bed!!  Gotta love that girl!!!

Mommy and Me Monday....Family Easter Edition

We had a fantastic Easter Sunday!!!  The weather was absolutely perfect and I ate WAY too much food!!!  So much for the whole healthy living/eating thing....today is Monday though so I'll REALLY start today!

It's a little hard to pick my photos today because I'm PRETTY sure I took about 90 of them yesterday within a 2 hour period of time.  What can I say.....I'm a FREAK and I LOVE pictures!!  ( I still really need to figure out my camera though....thats whole other story in itself).

Cocktails and poop stories!

Last night Justin and I were fortunate enough to partake in some actual grown up adult interaction with NO kids!!!  We went out for some cocktails for Ann's birthday with some good friends.  It's been a LONG time since we have gone out and honestly I so can't hang like I used to....even if I wanted to I couldn't.  Anyway, my Corona's were everything I hoped them to be and more....and yeah....I got a little buzzed up!  Most people can tell because I pretty much don't shut up....which is bad because I already talk a lot but whatev!!  It was a good time had by all and I'm glad that we were able to get out for a couple of hours and play with OUR friends...(even though I'm pretty sure there were SOME poop stories flying about the kiddos but thats what happens when everyone starts to have babes.)

On to this morning.....we both realized WHY we don't go out much anymore.  It's a real bitch to get up at 6:30 in the AM with your almost 6 month old after a night of drinking.....NOT FUN!!!  It would have been nice if we could have been like "Mees, mommy and daddy had a rough one last night, do you think you could entertain yourself for a couple more hours or better yet just go back to sleep."  Yeah, that don't work!  (We need to teach that girl how to make her own bottles??)   It's pretty sad when I start using the phrase "I'm getting too old for this shit".  But, WE are actual grown ups now AND we have grown up responsibilites and all that blah blah blah! 

It was a blast going out and hanging with the peeps last night but there are reasons why we don't do it that much.....it's not so much fun feeling like ass the next day (it's a little hard to go for bloody's with your baby in the morning!!)
